Annual General Meeting of the Parent Club

The Annual General Meeting of the Parent Club took place in the Clubhouse on Sunday 11th December 2016.

The Chairman, Noel Coen thanked everyone for their help throughout the year especially the volunteers who worked tirelessly in the Clubhouse ensuring all visitors and members enjoyed their visit to our club.

Outgoing officers Treasurer Frank Coyne, President Helen Cunningham and Parent Club Secretary Michael Conneally were also thanked for doing so much on behalf of the club.

Noel thanked the bar staff, groundsmen, and all other committee members for their cooperation and help during the
year.

Ladies Christmas Hampers winners:

The Ladies Christmas Hampers winners are as follows: 1st Geraldine Coyne, 2nd Katie Coleman, Gross: Chrissie Hogan, 3rd Caroline Delaney, 4th Evelyn Clarke, 5th Florrie Ryan, 6th Rose Devaney (back 6), 7th Deirdre Donnellan .
1st Beginner’s Prize: Marie Conway,
2nd Beginner’s Prize: Bernie Forde.

Ladies Golfer of the Year:

Congratulations to the Ladies Golfer of the Year: Chrissie Hogan.

The Club offers its sincerest sympathies to the family of Maura O’Connor, (pre deceased by her husband) from Bermingham Road, Tuam. Maura is sister of FR. PADRAIG O’CONNOR, a member and very good friend of Mountbellew Golf Club. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the family of Delia Doherty, from Leitrim. Delia was Aunt to Tom Carroll another very good friend of our club.
