The Men’s Winter League has now finished and the Overall Nett Winner was PADRAIG MALONE.while the Overall Gross Winner was BASIL KING. congratulations to both men for playing so well during the Winter months.

Mountbellew Golf Club are delighted to announce that Brid Gilmore has been elected Lady Captain of our club for 2018. We all wish Brid the very best of luck for the year ahead.

On Sunday 11th March the Captains Ray Moore and Brid Gilmore along with President Des Kenny held their Drive-In. A 3 person scramble that was run from Wednesday 7th to Sunday 11th March was very well supported and the following are the winners: 1st: Peter Morrow, Emma Morrow, John Lyons. 2nd: Simon Davis, Barry Hoban, John Donoghue.

3rd: Basil King, Joe Glennon, Ray Moore. A presentation of prizes for the scramble and other competitions took place after the Drive-In and a fantastic evening was had by all who attended. The overall Winter League Nett winner was Padraig Malone and the overall Winter League Gross winner was Basil King. Congratulations to both men who played very good golf over the winter season. Also on Sunday, the club held its EARLY BIRD DRAW for those people who had paid their Membership. Winner was Jarlath Donnellan.

A Ladies 14 Holes Stableford takes place this week.

All members are invited to take part in the St. Patrick’s Weekend Scramble.

A 3 person 18 holes scramble will betake place on Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th March. As part of the festivities members can enjoy 3 pints for €10. So come end enjoy the Grand Slam decider in the clubhouse on Saturday 17th.
