Wednesday Seniors

The Wednesday Seniors returned on 11th January. Rory Murphy and his crew had some testing conditions for the golf. But everyone survived to enjoy the craic in the clubhouse.

A special presentation was made by outgoing President Helen Cunningham to Martie Healy and Paddy Raftery in recognition of they achieving hole in ones in 2016. They join Shiela Costello who was the first of the Wednesday Seniors to achieve a hole in one “only a few years ago”.

Men’s Club Round 2 of Winter League was held on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th January:
Winner: Luke Cunningham (13) 34 pts.
2nd: Joe Glennon (11) 32pts.
Gross: Gerry T. Flaherty (8) 24pts.

Special Training from ILGU/PGA Professionals

Girls who are aged under 18 as of 1st January 2017 & who are members of a golf club in Connaught & have a ILGU handicap of 35.4 or less are asked to register on doddleonardmo@gmail.com in order to receive special training from ILGU/PGA professionals.
