On Saturday 2nd September 2017, the Irish Ladies Golfing Union held the AIG Ladies Connaught Finals in Ballinrobe Golf Club. That day will certainly go down in Mountbellew Golf Club’s history as being one of our most successful days since our foundation in 1929.
The AIG Ladies Minor Cup is for handicaps 22-27. Mountbellew Golf Club Captained by Mary Hyland, beat Carrick-On-Shannon in the Final (Mountbellew names first):

The AIG Intermediate Cup is for handicaps 16-21. Mountbellew was Captained by Helen Cunningham and the team beat Gort in the Final (Mountbellew names first):

The AIG Challenge Cup is for handicaps 28-36. Mountbellew was Captained by Chrissie Hogan and this team beat Ballyhaunis in the Final (Mountbellew names first):

Congratulations to all three teams who now go on to the All Ireland Semi Finals and Finals week to be held in Malone Golf Club, Belfast between 27th and 30th September. The Club wish all Captains and players along with all the caddies the very best of luck in Belfast.
The Club also wishes to congratulate Caroline Delaney and Mary Dolan who were crowned Connaught Champions and then went on to come third in the All Ireland Australian Spoons Foursomes Finals recently.
The Friday Open 18 holes stableford competition on 1st September was won by Fr. Sean Cunningham with 40pts, Gross: Basil King 32pts. Open competitions for Men and Ladies continue for September and October. Timesheet 0909679259.
