The Friday OPEN Men’s stableford was won by Jimmy Connolly (18) 40pts, 2nd: Kieran Donoghue (15) 39pts, Gross: Eoin Keating (8) 30pts. Remember that there are Ladies and Men’s OPEN Stableford competitions each Friday in Mountbellew Golf Club. Timesheet: 0909679259.

The club wishes Mountbellew GAA Club the very best of luck with their AMAM that takes place in our club this week.

Members are reminded that on Thursday next 10th August the Golfing Union of Ireland Under 16 Strokeplay team championship takes place. TEE RESERVED until 2.20pm. All officials, players and families can look forward to a warm welcome in our club.

The Captain’s MICHAEL CONNEALLY Prize was played on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th August. Our Captain thanked his wife Ann and family for their help throughout his year. He also thanked all committee members who have helped make his year so enjoyable. He also congratulated the ground staff for having the course in such great condition, not just for his Prize but also throughout the year.

A great night’s entertainment was had by all who attended the presentation.
